A lot of players to feature in UCFB’s charity match for BBC’s Children In Need will most likely have similar footballing careers, playing at Sunday league level in their regional area or county. However one player stands out from the rest, having appeared for AFC Blackpool in the FA Youth Cup.
Nathan Price, a resident of Blackpool before moving to Manchester when joining UCFB, found himself featuring for a side who had qualified for the FA Youth Cup, a competition run by the Football Association for football clubs with under 18’s sides across the country.
This achievement saw Nathan and his team featured in the Blackpool Gazette, an evening print release in the Blackpool area covering towns across the Fylde coast. However this was not the first time Nathan had been publicised in his region.
Outside of football, Nathan was apart of the Marton Operatic Society. An article in the Blackpool Gazette highlighted Nathan to then encourage and attract younger members to join to group.
Nathan will be representing the Rest of World team, playing on the right side of midfield in the UCFB Charity match held at Regional Arena Stadium on November 23rd.
